When I was a little girl, I was forced to watch these strange movies called "Westerns" with my dad. Today, I appreciate them for what they are but of course, like any little kid, I thought these were so boring because yes, they were in black and white. The only thing I remember is my dad lecturing me on how they weren't just any movie and they were not like any other black and white movie either. It was John Wayne. He was probably the first actor I could identify on my own, thanks to my dad. As I grew up I eventually did become fond on these movies, but considering I grew up in the age of The Lion King and Aladdin, black and white John Wayne movies were not exactly the most entertaining movies for a four year old.
